Review: Aiken Intensive Care- cracked heel cream

I've never had cracked heel but out of sudden my feet turn-out so bad with cracks..

Googling for the cause of cracked heel, i found that it might be due to dry and lack of moisture on the heel area..

I've seen Aiken at local supermarkets but had neva bought one but due to my condition i purchased a small tube..

The product claims:

• provide immediate comfort for painful cracked skin
• strengthen the epidermal lipid layer by sealin in moisture 
• keep skin hydrated 

Direction: Massage onto clean heels 2-3 times daily

This is how i do it:

1. Soak my feet in a pail containing warm water and salt ( this is to soften the heel ans salt acts as antimicrobial agent)
2. Use a pumic stone to remove the dead skins ( do this by rubbing ur feet with the stone)- dont have to be harsh on it, u can just do it gently
3. dry heel with clean towel
4. apply Aiken cream

My verdict on this product:

• im not a big fan of its smell-- it smells abit of menthol
• doesnt irritate the skin
• a lil bit sticky
• takes time to dry and absorb into skin
• will definitely purchase again ( if in need)

Review: St Ives Oatmeal and shea butter body lotion

My craze for body lotion had caused me into buying many types of lotions..

I have one lotion for my hand, one for leg and one for body  and i even hav lotion for going out.. (Im that crazy!!!)..

So , here i am reviewing on St ives' body lotion

The product claims to:

• deliver long lasting relief from dry itchy skin
• nourishes and intensely hydrate skin
• formulated without parabens
• doesnt contain animal ingredient 

My comment on this product:

• its definitely smells amazing.. just love the rich shea butter smell 
• the fragrance is very soothing and relaxing
• not oily
• absorbs into skin fast
• not sticky

the smell last for a long time   

     

Review:Beautifying Oil by Body Shop

I adore the perfumes by Body Shop and so i usually drop by to get my favs from there. But this time something else attracted me,, which was the beautifying oil..

They had a range of flavor but the distinctive one that i remembered was the strawberry beautifying oil because of its lovely smell but i opted for the olive beautifying oil..

The reason to this was:

1. oil is good source of moisture for skin and it balances the water and oil on the skin surface. I've heard ppl saying that ' if u hav oily skin/face then go for oil free prods" this statement is not completely true and applicable for all situation. Every time we wash our face , we tend to strip off the natural layer of oil on the skin surface thus this will stimulate the skin layer to produce more oils. Therefore once after washing our face, it is recommended to apply face oil, and go for plant based oils.

2. I LOVE OLIVE... olives are rich with antioxidants such as polyphenol, vitamin E and K, and carotenoids.. And this antioxidants are very important for immune system strengthening and to protect body from free radical effects.

3. Its also an anti-inflammatory agent

Now, let go to the review part:

The oil claims to:

• can be used for body , face and hair
• moisturizes, smooths and illuminates
• active ingredients: organic olive oil, kukui, sweet almond and marula oil

Direction: Apply to damp or dry skin and dry hair

AND this is my opinion on this product:

• it has a bit of jasmin-ey fragrant to it (which is quit nice n not strong)
• a lil sticky
• skin feels smooth instantly

I also apply it on my hair and leave it for 30 min before washing. My hair feels smooth.. 

Therefore , my verdict, this oil is better as a hair oil compared to body oil

Pressure Cooker

Honestly, im not a good cook and being a PhD student whom life resolves around labs and clinic, i always aim for fast and easy cooking recipes and methods. Adding to this, being a vegetarian makes it hard to get good food around Kota bharu, kelantan.

My recent visit to MYDIN kota bharu, i found out that they sell premier brand pressure cooker (http://www.sspremier.net/product/category/pressure-cooler/ ). so what else, i grabbed the opportunity and bought one for my self.. in hope that i can cook dhall more often..

Premier Non Stick pan

just for the info im not being paid by premier... its just that i came across this products at mydin kota bharu and decided to buy it...

Eating healthy and staying fit is very important,, we would have come across tons of slimming products and exercise regimes that highlight on loosing those spare tires.. Just wondering, doesnt all this start with a healthy diet.. So this is what intrigued me into getting this non-stick pan..

So far i hav not tried it and will post the result once i start using it

incense stick

Being an indian its a compulsory to lit incense stick during prayers,,, and me not being a so pious person, i dont lit the oil lamp but instead i pray just with the incense stick,,

All this yrs i have tried many brands and recently i bought Swarna Chandan Moksh Agarbathi from Yashree, Puchong.. the sandal fragrance was amazing and it lasted till afternoon and i could smell outside my door..

So for those who loves sandal wood fragrance then u should try this brand..

star hut cafe near LCCT

I fly alot, therefore looking for cheap food before a flight is a must for me..
recently me and my hubs decided to stop by at a cafe which is on the way to LCCT.
Its known as CAFE STAR HUT and the best part -- they have vegetarian food.. being a vegetarian, some times its hard to get proper food so i grab watever vege that i can get..

so i decided to order 'YONG CHOW FRIED RICE' + water melon juice. For me the food was ok but pricey. . p/s: the half boil eggs not mine.. mua ha ha ha
